Visual effects are a relatively young but rapidly developing sector in the film industry. They are currently present in every new film in the world to a greater or lesser extent. Visual effects combine the real scene with the virtual one in order to increase the artistic value of the final shot. It should then appear more attractive to the viewer and at the same time, thanks to them, the director can better tell the film story. The task of this work is to raise awareness of visual effects and to describe their creation and added value using practical examples. In this work, I describe the creation of visual effects in four feature films, on the creation of which I collaborated. My task was to realize the director's ideas and transform them into given shots. This resulted in visually appealing shots, the creation of which would not be possible without visual effects. The reader who reads this work has the opportunity to look behind the scenes of film post-production and gain valuable knowledge about the creation of visual effects.
